Sirens by MYA: Where Childhood Imagination Meets Summer
MYA CollectionSummers That Stay With Us Forever
There are summers we remember because of the places we visited. And then there are summers that stay with us for an entirely different reason. A laugh that echoed a little louder, an afternoon by the sea, a child running barefoot across the sand, or a photograph that instantly takes us back to that exact moment years later.
The most beautiful childhood memories are never created by luxury or perfect circumstances. They are born from the little moments we share together. Warm embraces, endless games, golden summer light, carefree days and the feeling that time somehow slows down. Perhaps that is the greatest gift we can offer our children. Memories they will carry with them for a lifetime.
This thought inspired every design in the new Sirens by MYA collection. A collection inspired by the Greek summer, the sea, timeless fairytales and the magic of childhood imagination. It was never created simply to dress special occasions, but to become part of the moments that deserve to be remembered.

I believe children's fashion should never try to make children look older than they are. Instead, it should celebrate exactly who they are. Free to run, dance, laugh and discover the world without limitations. A dress should never outshine the child wearing it. It should move naturally with every step, becoming part of their freedom rather than something that holds it back.
The collection draws its inspiration from images that feel instantly familiar. The endless shades of the sea, the warmth of sunlit sand, the golden reflections of summer afternoons, soft textures, delicate mermaid prints and shimmering details inspired by the light dancing across the water. Every element was designed to capture the unmistakable feeling of a Greek summer. A feeling that is difficult to describe, yet instantly recognizable the moment you experience it.
What I love most about children's clothing is the way it comes alive through movement. A skirt that twirls effortlessly as a child spins around, sequins catching the sunlight with every step, light fabrics flowing naturally with the breeze instead of remaining still. That is when you realise a garment was never created simply to be admired. It was created to become part of a child's happiest memories.
Some dresses are worn for a single occasion. Others become part of a family's story. The ones that reappear years later in photo albums, bringing back faces, emotions and unforgettable moments. A christening, a summer wedding, a family gathering by the sea or a spontaneous afternoon in August. In the end, we rarely remember the outfit itself. We remember how that moment made us feel.

This season, the collection introduces something especially meaningful: matching looks for mothers and daughters. They were created with the idea of celebrating more than coordinated outfits. They celebrate shared memories, shared smiles and the unique bond between mother and child. These are not identical looks, but pieces connected through the same aesthetic, the same colours and the same philosophy, while allowing each personality to shine in its own beautiful way.
There is something deeply touching about a mother holding her daughter's hand. A glance, an embrace, a dance by the sea or a quiet walk together suddenly become moments that will one day be treasured forever. Perhaps that is the true meaning of matching looks. Not simply dressing alike, but creating memories that will always belong to both of you.

Sirens by MYA was created with one simple purpose. To dress the moments that will one day become cherished memories. Summer celebrations, christenings, family gatherings, afternoons by the sea and all those seemingly ordinary moments that quietly become the ones we hold closest to our hearts. Children grow up much faster than we realise. Perhaps the most beautiful purpose a garment can have is to become part of a memory that lasts forever.
