This thought inspired every design in the new Sirens by MYA collection. A collection inspired by the Greek summer, the sea, timeless fairytales and the magic of childhood imagination. I believe children's fashion should never try to make children look older than they are. Instead, it should celebrate exactly who they are. Free to run, dance, laugh and discover the world without limitations. A dress should never outshine the child wearing it. The collection draws its inspiration from images that feel instantly familiar. The endless shades of the sea, the warmth of sunlit sand, the golden reflections of summer afternoons, soft textures, delicate mermaid prints and shimmering details inspired by the light dancing across the water. Every element was designed to capture the unmistakable feeling of a Greek summer. A feeling that is difficult to describe, yet instantly recognizable the moment you experience it.

 

What I love most about children's clothing is the way it comes alive through movement. A skirt that twirls effortlessly as a child spins around, sequins catching the sunlight with every step, light fabrics flowing naturally with the breeze instead of remaining still. That is when you realise a garment was never created simply to be admired. It was created to become part of a child's happiest memories.

Some dresses are worn for a single occasion. Others become part of a family's story. The ones that reappear years later in photo albums, bringing back faces, emotions and unforgettable moments.
